We have been delighting families and friends with our magical holiday carriage rides in Highland Park Village for nearly twenty years, and we cannot thank you enough for allowing us to be a part of your holiday joy. We have horse-drawn carriages available in various sizes to accommodate everyone. Whether you’re a cozy romantic couple wanting some quiet cuddle time, or you’re a large group of ugly-sweater wearing outgoing carol singers, we have a horse-drawn carriage perfect for you.

WHERE IS HIGHLAND PARK VILLAGE LOCATED?
Highland Park Village is located at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Preston Road in Dallas. For a map and store listings, please visit Highland Park Village

WHERE DO I GO TO CHECK IN FOR MY RIDE?
Rides originate from inside Highland Park Village at Preston Road near Livingston Avenue, alongside Royal Blue Grocery and across from Anthropology. You should arrive approximately 15 minutes early to check in, take care of any last minute details or meet others in your party. If you are late, you are cutting into your reservation time. 

WHERE DO I PARK FOR MY RIDE?
Parking is available inside Highland Park Village with additional parking located across from Highland Park Village on Mockingbird lane. Parking lot entrances are located on both Douglas Ave and Mockingbird lane.  For your convenience Highland Park Village offers complimentary Valet parking.

CAN I BRING SOMETHING TO EAT/DRINK ON MY RIDE?  WHAT ABOUT BLANKETS?
You may bring food and/or beverages however, please be aware, that the ride may be bumpy at times. Lids are recommended for all beverages.  There will be several blankets to keep you cozy on the carriages, but feel free to bring your own as well. 

WHAT IF WE HAVE A LAST MINUTE GUEST?  CAN WE BRING THEM ON THE RIDE WITH US?
Maximum vehicle capacity is either the total number of passengers the vehicle is permitted to carry, or the vehicle’s maximum weight capacity (average passenger weight of 177lbs x number of passengers permitted), whichever is greatest. The maximum vehicle capacity must be strictly adhered to, not only for your safety and the safety of the horses, but because it is the law. If you arrive with more passengers than the vehicle’s maximum capacity, we may not permit all the guests to ride. 

DOES THREEJAYS GUARANTEE HOMES ON THE ROUTE WILL ALL HAVE LIGHTS DISPLAYED?
Threejays Carriages does not guarantee holiday lights or decorations.  Displaying lights is strictly up to the homeowners within the neighborhood.

SHOULD I TIP OUR DRIVER?  IF SO, HOW MUCH?
GRATUITIES ARE NOT INCLUDED in your reservation purchase, but are an add on option at the time you book your reservation. Traditionally, an appropriate gratuity amount is 15% – 20% of the ride’s cost, based on the excellence of services provided.

WHEN WILL YOU CHARGE MY CARD FOR THE RESERVATION?
Upon completion of your reservation, you agree that your credit card will be charged for the full value of the reservation immediately.  

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS OR SNOWS?
Texas weather is unpredictable and Threejays Carriages may have to cancel reservations due to unsafe weather conditions. Although the weather may appear safe for carriage operations during your specific ride time, we have to consider the weather for the entire night, as well as the safety of our horses, drivers and out of town guests. If weather is inclement and your ride is cancelled by Threejays Carriages, Threejays Carriages will make every effort to communicate the cancellation based on the contact information you provided when establishing your reservation, and therefore is not responsible or liable for the inability to contact customers at any number/email that is not correctly listed in the reservation. If you choose, your booking can be applied to a reservation next year, otherwise automatic refund will be issued for all reservations for that evening; please allow 3 to 6 weeks for your bank to post the refund to your account. No additional refunds or credits will be given due to any inconveniences. Additional reservation times MAY be available to provide the option of rescheduling your ride.   Details informing you of whether or not you will be contacted and provided with an opportunity to reschedule will be included in the cancellation email you receive, so please read it thoroughly. 

HOW DO I GET MY HOLIDAY PHOTO I PURCHASED?
If you purchased a Holiday Photo, one of the photographers from Admire Productions  will be on hand to photograph you and your guests once you board your vehicle. Your  digital photo will be sent to the email we have on file, and you own the rights to it. Share  with as many family and friends as you like. 

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY RESERVATION?
Yes, however, all changes:
Are based on availability.
Are subject to a fee of 5%-30%.
Require YOU to book your new preferred date and time.
Require YOU to send us notification of your desire to cancel your original reservation.
Are not confirmed until you receive a new confirmation number and an email approving your change. (See full instructions in cancellation policy below.)

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Changes and Cancellations CANNOT BE MADE BY CALLING Threejays Carriages. If  you fail to show up for your scheduled reservation, you are responsible for the full amount of the reservation, even if you wish to come again on a different date and time 
(in which case, you will actually be making a second reservation). 
TO CANCEL a reservation, you MUST SEND AN EMAIL TO cancellations@threejayscarriages.com at least 4 days prior to your scheduled reservation (EMAILS SENT TO ANY OTHER  ADDRESS WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED).  In your email, you will need to include: name on the reservation, date, time, vehicle and reservation code (if known) of the reservation to be cancelled. A cancellation confirmation email will be sent to you within 48 hours of the email request to cancel. Failure to send a cancellation request email to cancellations@threejayscarriages.com will RESULT IN YOU BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SCHEDULED RESERVATION ON FILE. Cancellations are subject to a fee of 5% to 30% of the cost of the reservation (prior to taxes and fees) minus the reservation/booking fee with the booking system service (PeekPro), depending on the date of the cancellation in relation to the date of the reservation. The fee schedule is as follows: 
Cancellations made 28 days or more prior to your scheduled reservation date are allowed, minus a 5% fee to change or cancel. 
Cancellations made 14 to 28 days prior to your scheduled reservation date are allowed, minus a 20% fee to change or cancel. 
Cancellations made between 4 days and 14 days prior to your scheduled reservation date allowed, minus a 30% fee to change or cancel. 
Cancellations made within 4 days of your scheduled reservation date are not allowed and no refund will be issued. 

TO CHANGE OR MODIFY a reservation date, time or vehicle type, you MUST BOOK A NEW RESERVATION. You must THEN SEND AN EMAIL TO cancellations@threejayscarriages.com  informing Threejays Carriages of the ORIGINAL reservation that needs to be cancelled. After you book a new reservation (you will receive a new confirmation email for this reservation), you will email cancellations@threejayscarriages.com (include: name on the reservation, date, time, vehicle and reservation code (if known) of the reservation to be cancelled). Also, please INFORM us in the email that you HAVE BOOKED A REPLACEMENT RESERVATION As long as you send the request to cancel email to cancellations@threejayscarriages.com prior to the 4 day cancellation cut off time, you will be refunded for the cancelled reservation, minus a cancellation fee of 5% to 30%, depending on the date of your cancellation in relation to the date of your original reservation. If you are upgrading to a larger vehicle, you will not be charged the cancellation fee. The fee schedule for changes is as follows: 
Changes made 28 days or more prior to your scheduled reservation date are allowed, minus a 5% fee to change or cancel. 
Changes made 14 to 28 days prior to your scheduled reservation date are allowed, minus a 20% fee to change or cancel. 
Changes made between 4 days and 14 days prior to your scheduled reservation date are allowed, minus a 30% fee to change or cancel. 
Changes made within 4 days of your scheduled reservation date are not allowed and no refund will be issued.  
Failure to send a cancellation request email to CANCELLATIONS prior to the 4 day cut off will RESULT IN YOU BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BOTH RESERVATIONS. 

Threejays Carriages reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason; all fees and charges will apply. By making a reservation with Threejays Carriages, the reservation holder and guests agree to HOLD HARMLESS Threejays Carriages, LLC its Employees, Contractors, Partners, Affiliates, HP Village Partners, LTD, and Venture Commercial Management. 

UNDER TEXAS LAW (CHAPTER 87, CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE), AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES
